One Ingredient at Reverie Social Table

One Ingredient returns…but with a twist!

This year we wanted to change things up little, and so have collaborated with Reverie Social Table to bring you…One Ingredient @ Reverie!
One Ingredient @ Reverie is based on the same concept that we all know and love; a single star ingredient showcased across five courses and paired with wine – but with two main differences. This time round, you won’t need to do any of the work – all you need to do is sit back, relax, and loosen your belts while my team and I spoil you. Secondly, we have found a gorgeous new venue!
Reverie Social Table is a table d’hote style eatery located in Observatory, featuring a single table that seats 18 guests. Founded by experienced Chef Julia Hattingh, who previously worked at Holden Manz & Waterkloof, the premise of the venture is centered around ‘social dining’. Guests are encouraged to slow down, interact and engage with each other. Sound familiar? So naturally, it was a perfect venue for One Ingredient!

To experience Julia’s food for yourself, make sure you also pop in on a night when the venue is not hosting One Ingredient. Her menu is definitely worth the visit, trust me!
However, I know some of you masochists like to sing for your supper, and so I will also be continuing with the interactive cooking demos as before – details to follow shortly.

Expect canapés and bubbly on arrival followed by a five course menu themed around one ingredient. Each course will be paired with wines from a local wine farm and presented by a representative, giving you the opportunity to find out a bit more about each wine & the inspiration behind the pairing.
