It’s almost time for the San Pellegrino Young Chef award winner to be chosen, and I know who I am rooting for! Cape Town chef Angelo Scirocco will be representing Africa and the Middle East region at this prestigious event. Angelo is the sous chef at Chefs Warehouse & Canteen. He made the final cut after his dish, ‘Milk is thicker than water’ was voted the best dish at the regional challenge earlier this year, according to the 5 golden rules: ingredients, skill, genius, beauty and message.
Angelo jets off to Milan to compete in the final from the 25th-27th June where a jury of seven international chefs, namely Gastón Acurio, Yannick Alléno, Massimo Bottura, Margot Janse, Yoshihiro Narisawa, Éric Ripert and Joan Roca, will select the San Pellegrino Young Chef 2015.
Best of luck Angelo!!
